This will be my first post for 2015 so if you think this hello-new-year post is kinda late, well, it is. Haha.
As we all ushered the new year, only one thing remained important to me - books. Specifically, my 2015 Reading Challenge. Why? Because let's discuss how 2014 had been.
I was so optimistic when 2014 commenced. I made plans. I even have a reading plan so I can finally even cut my TBR pile in half, I challenged myself to read 100 books, 40 of which Filipino-written. Why? Because I've read 131 books the year before, and I think I can even push myself more to read much more than that... But I realized something, something more valuable than reading all my unread books.
I finally realized that aside from making me read fast and making me read all the books I can put in Goodreads first, all the challenge did was to turn my reading experience into a chore, a task I have to do every time. So, this year, I thought of abandoning the Goodreads challenge, but whatever, I still like the badge! So, I challenged myself to read just 30 books instead.
And then, I saw this:
Looks like a good challenge, right? Should I do it? Will I do it? I don't know. Hahaha.
How about you, how many books will you read this year?
