Reading slump

I haven't been blogging because... I am busy with work and school but all the more because I haven't read anything since I don't know when.

I am certainly in total reading slump. This is the worst ever. Back then, I can't stand not reading even a page a day, but nowadays all I do is stare at my bookcase and wonder why I bought all those books and when will I ever read them? I even can't keep track of all the new books I bought. My phone showed indicative signs as well - it has been suggesting that I delete my Goodreads app since I don't use it at all, I actually did and then I knew... This. Is. BAD.

And so here I am, wishing for my zeal to come back.

I have plans. I've written them all down in my planner. I also asked a friend to read a book with me, Murakami, hitting two birds at one stone, why not? I haven't read my sole Murakami book and my friend haven't tried his hands in buddy reading.

I also looked back on past experiences. I remember that one book that lifted me from the reading slump quicksand was listening to Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn so I tried to search the interwebs for something like Gone Girl and The Girl on a Train is one of the top hits. I searched for a copy, but just can't find any and then, I remember my Scribd subscription which made everything so convenient since they are offering the audio book for free - for my subscription, that is.

So far, I am liking it. And as some of you know, I am a perrenial polygamist when it comes to reading. Along with TGoaT, I'm finishing The Incredible Adventures of Cinnamon Girl by Melissa Keil.

I'd love to hear from you!

What are you reading right now?

What do you do when you are in a reading slump?

What book made you read again?
