While listening to Yes Please, you'll laugh, you'll cry, and you'll become convinced that your phone is trying to kill you. Don't miss this collection of stories, thoughts, ideas, lists, and haikus from the mind of one of our most beloved entertainers. Offering Amy's thoughts on everything from her "too safe" childhood outside of Boston to her early days in New York City, her ideas about Hollywood and "the biz," the demon that looks back at all of us in the mirror, and her joy at being told she has a "face for wigs"—Yes Please is chock-full of words, and wisdom, to live by.
I like this better than Tina and Mindy's. I know, I know, Tina Fey is hilarious. Mindy Kaling is just adorable. But Amy? Amy is relatable. She is so real. And this book is a steal because it's not just an autobiography or a comedy book, at times, it also is a self-help book. I shall read this again and jot down all the quotes... because yep! I didn't read this on paper or my Kindle, like Bossypants and Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? I thank Audible that I finished this. I advise everyone to listen to this because this book was read not just by Amy herself but she actually tapped some friends like, uhm, Seth Meyers! (I must not forget Patrick Stewart!) And since Amy is an expert at improv, I believe there are some spontaneous punchlines here and there that aren't featured in the printed book. And, the ending!!! The ending is superb. You really have to experience this straight from Amy's home studio. Hahaha. This book, I believe, is not perfect since I find some parts a little meh... but most of it especially the first part deserve more than 5 stars so maybe, it kind of balanced it that way. Hahaha.

Okay, TTFN, I'm hungover, Imma Google Amy now. Hahaha.
